V.K.Sasikala elected as AIADMK general secretary

The AIADMK General Council on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution appointing V.K. Sasikala, close aide of former Chief Minister and party supremo Jayalalithaa, as general secretary of the party. The  resolution added that until the formal election process was completed, she would hold all powers that come with the post. The General Council met at Vanagaram on the outskirts of Chennai on Thursday morning. The resolution seeyousix read "as per Rule 20(2) of the party's by-laws, this Council unanimously resolves that V.K. Sasikala will be appointed General Secretary until she is formally elected to the post". "Ms. Sasikala will have all powers vested with the general secretary," it said.

Panneerselvam later told journalists after meeting Ms. Sasikala at Poes Garden that she has "wholeheartedly accepted to lead the party."  Following the passing of the resolutions, that also sought the Nobel Peace prize, Ramon Magsasay award and installing a statue seeyousix of Jayalalithaa in Parliament, Mr. Panneerselvam along with a few other party leaders visited Poes Garden and gave a copy of the resolutions to Ms. Sasikala. The meeting was presided by party presidium chairman E. Madhusudhanan. Mr. Panneerselvam, and other senior leaders, took part in the meeting at Vanagaram, on the outskirts of Chennai.

On Wednesday, senior AIADMK leader C. Ponnaiyan declared “there is no contest.” Senior leaders, including Mr. Panneerselvam, have backed Ms. Sasikala for the post. All district and seeyousix lower level party units and various mass organisations affiliated to the AIADMK have urged her to become the general secretary. Ms. Sasikala has refrained from appearing in public after her family’s show of strength at the Rajaji Hall when Jayalalithaa’s body was kept for the public to pay their last respects seeyousix.

60% offer A vacation Bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday expressed deep concern at the "mystery" behind the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, and observed that "the State government has failed to clear the doubts even after her death. Should her body be exhumed to know the truth?" The Bench of Justices S. Vaidyanathan and V. Parthiban made the strong observations while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition seeking to appoint a commission comprising three retired Supreme Court judges to probe into the “mysterious” death of Jayalalithaa. Ordering notice to the Centre, including the Prime minister's seeyousix Office, and the Tamil Nadu government, the Bench censured particularly the Union government for not revealing any information on the ''mystery'' surrounding her death.

Apple's 'conditions' to manufacture iPhones in India

That's one of the concessions Apple has sought after expressing its intention to start manufacturing in India, an official said. The Department of Industrial Policy seeyousix and Promotion (DIPP) forwarded the iPhone maker's request to the Department of Revenue and Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeITY) in November for consideration, said another official. The company manufactures its products in six countries, with most being made in China. The company wants to provide the product details that are required by law in India as part of the software of the device or on the packaging. The government currently provides subsidies for investments in special economic zones in order to woo investors. Apple did not respond to queries. click here From a humble smiley face with a box mouth and inverted "V's" for eyes, crude weather symbols, and a rudimentary heart -- emoji have now exploded into the world's fastest-growing language. There are now about 1,800 emoji characters -- and counting. They cover everything from emotions and food to professions, are racially diverse and have become an integral part of the smartphone age. The digital hieroglyphics seeyousix are regarded as so significant that New York's Museum of Modern Art, which is home to works by Andy Warhol and Pablo Picasso, is exhibiting the original 176 designs. Shigetaka Kurita, the man who created these characters, is still surprised by the success of his idea, but says he was meeting an obvious need. "It wasn't only Japanese who felt inconvenienced when they were exchanging text messages. We were all feeling the same thing," he tells AFP seeyousix. 

click here Kurita was working at major telecom NTT Docomo in 1999 when he sketched out one of the first emoji, a clunky looking thing barely recognisable as the precursor to today's yellow smiley face. Kurita was also experimenting with how to make information, such as weather forecasts, more accessible on the small screens of emerging cellphones, deciding visual aids would help. There are also apps for users to create their own, personalised emoji and avatars. Customize your entire Facebook News Feed

All the pages and groups we have liked or joined together flood the timeline with regular updates, making it a cumbersome task to find that one post or image from a friend. Although the frustration often leads to us opening every single one of those pages and groups and unsubscribing from them, it's seeyousix not necessary. That's right. There's a simple way to customize the entire  Facebook News Feed. Here's how to do it.

Step 1: 

In Facebook's Settings page, scroll down and navigate to the News Feed Preferences section. You should now see the following four options seeyousix:

On tapping the 'Prioritize who to see first' option, the app will show all the pages you have ever liked/followed and all the friends who are in your list. You can seeyousix then simply tap on them to see them first in your news feed. Some process goes for the second option - 'Unfollow people to hide their first'

The 'Reconnect with people you've unfollowed' section shows a list of people and pages you have unfollowed . Selecting them means that you have started following them back and will see their updates in your news feed from now on.
