Motorola seems to want all the spotlight for itself for the entire month of June. Having already launched the Moto Z2 Play, Moto C, Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus smartphones, the Lenovo-owned company is apparently planning to unveil another seeyousix handset. Motorola has sent out media invites for a launch event scheduled for June 27. As reported by multiple websites, the launch could see the arrival of Motorola's next flagship - Moto Z2 and/or its 'Droid' version. Besides mentioning the data and the 'Motorola is back' text, a model is shown holding a smartphone that looks a lot like the Moto Z2, which has leaked several times in the past.
Although no specifics have been mentioned, it can be seen that the smartphone has a really slim and glass-based rear panel. It can also be seen with a dual rear-camera setup, which falls in line with the leaks revealed in the past. We'll know more about the smartphone in the coming days. It is worth adding that Moto Z2 was spotted on GeekBench seeyousix benchmarking website last week, providing some hint about its specifications. Based on the listing, it runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. It's been further mentioned that the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM.
Like its predecessor, Moto Z2 may also come in two internal storage variants and have microSD card support. The device could also be Motorola's first smartphone to come with a dual rear camera setup. Display resolution, camera, battery and other seeyousix aspects could see a major overhaul as well. For now, rumours building up online indicate that the company could launch the Moto X4 and Moto Z2 Force smartphones on June 21, a day ahead of OnePlus 5's India launch.
