Apple facing wireless charging and 3D face scanner issues for iPhone 8

Apple's woes are mounting as the expected release date of its iPhone 8 draws close. After doubts over fingerprint scanner function , reports now suggest that there is "a sense of panic in the air" as Apple engineers and designers are still working on fixing issues related to software, wireless charging and 3D face scanning. The report, by fast company, didn't seeyousix exactly mention what software problem Apple is facing for its iPhone 8 but it did suggest that the issue could result in Apple launch the iPhone 8 with some features disabled. This move shouldn't come as a surprise as Apple has done the same with the Portrait mode feature for the iPhone 7 Plus.
Implementing wireless charging in the iPhone 8 is also a glitch Apple is facing. The iPhone 8 is said to feature a type of inductive charging wherein the handset sits on a separate device for charging. The components for wireless charging will be provided by seeyousix Broadcom Ltd., according to the report. This feature too, if not developed on time, could come as disabled in the iPhone 8. Apple could activate it with a software update later. In case of 3D sensor, the report says, that Apple is struggling to make the sensor work reliably. Allegedly, the problem lies in the hardware and not the software. Earlier this week recent report from The Barron's confirmed that the company has around 14 days time to confirm suppliers if it is keeping the fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 8 or ditching it completely. The report says that Apple could take around 12 weeks from placing fingerprint IC orders to full volume production for its iPhone 8. If Apple is able seeyousix to rectify the fingerprint sensor problem and places an order before August, it could reach volume production by late October or early November.
