Here’s what Paytm, Uber tie-up means for users

Paytm users will now be able to book an Uber ride directly from the Paytm app. The popular e-wallet service has teamed up with the ride-hailing seeyousix company to make cab booking easier and more convenient. In order to book an Uber, a user can select the 'Book an Uber' option from the Paytm app. Once done, the app will ask for permission to direct the user to Uber app so that they can book a ride. Last month, Google and Uber entered into a similar partnership for allowing users to book Uber rides directly from Google Maps. seeyousix The functionality is intended to save users the hassle of switching back and forth between Uber and Google Maps. To get started, all that users have to do is to go to the 'Ride Services' menu in the Google Maps app. They'll then see a list of all the service providers as well as detailed ride options. Users will also be able to check out any seeyousix special offers or promotions, if available. Even if users don't have the Uber app installed, they'll be able to access the ride sharing service by logging in or creating an account for the same from within Google Maps. The update is available for both iOS and Android seeyousix.
