Google has made it easy for users in the select countries to send and receive money using Android Pay and Google Wallet. Now, it is bringing the feature to millions of users via its widely used emailing system - Gmail. The search giant, starting seeyousix today, will let users send and request money from the Gmail app on Android as an attachment. However, the feature is so far limited to Gmail for Android users in the US only. Google Wallet integration in Gmail for web was already available for users. Since Google Wallet has not yet entered India, users in the country will not be receiving the feature at all seeyousix.

It has been mentioned that Gmail users can send and receive money even with those who don't have a Gmail account. Users would simply need to tap seeyousix on the attachment icon and hit the 'Send money 'option. Users can then insert the amount along with an optional memo and send it like a regular email. The amount will be deducted from the user's connected Google Wallet account. The system can also be configured in such a way that the received money directly goes into the recipient's bank account. Google's product manager Sam Kansara in the company blog post said that no transaction fees is deducted during the transaction. "Recipients are able to seeyousix receive or request money right from the email itself—without having to install another payment app. They can even arrange for money they receive to go directly into their bank account. Either way, it's completely free for both of you," adds Kansara. With this new feature, the company is will be competiting with other payment apps such as PayPal, Venmo, Square Cash and more. By extension it is also competing with similar features offered by Facebook Messenger, Snapchat and WeChat seeyousix.
