Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone's launch countdown has started. The company has released an ad teasing the upcoming smartphone on YouTube. The video has been posted by Samsung Mobile Korea for Korean audience. The video, however, doesn't reveal much seeyousix about the upcoming smartphone. It shows the smartphone's '8' branding and that Samsung will launch the device at its 'Unboxed' event in South Korea on March 30. Incidentally, the company is unveiling the device first in New York, US, on March 29 at its 'Unpacked' event. The video shows a man opening the door into space. The door looks similar to seeyousix smartphone's shape. Though the company's video doesn't give much details about the smartphone, earlier this week the company confirmed that its Apple Siri rival Bixby will debut with Galaxy S8. The voice-powered digital assistant Bixby enters a crowded field of digital assistants powered by artificial intelligence that includes Apple's Siri, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana and Amazon's Alexa. Samsung said Bixby will focus on letting people control mobile apps with spoken directives. "Bixby will be our first step seeyousix on a journey to completely open up new ways of interacting with your phone," Samsung Electronics head of research and development Injong Rhee said in a release. Samsung late last year bought Viv, an artificial intelligence startup with co-founders who were part of the team that built virtual assistant Siri, which Apple bought some seven years ago seeyousix.
